RecommendedI just saw Dr. Miller on the Wellness Hour. The question was asked why more people aren't opting for implants. Dr. Millers answer was basically, "Because the dentist is scary." That's not it at all. It's because of money. Implants are incredibly expensive. I have been trying to find a way to afford them for years. You really want to help people? Find a way to make implants affordable!
We will never have any work done here again. My husband needed his wisdom teeth removed and as we all know that can be a pretty expensive procedure. We communicated with them that we would need to make sure that our insurance could cover as much as possible and they said we would be fine to schedule it and would only owe $420 out of pocket. During the surgery itself, the doctor said that it was too difficult to remove one of his wisdom teeth and so he left it in and it probably wouldn’t be a future problem. Dr. Miller convinced me to have ALL my healthy natural bottom teeth removed, (which I had just paid to have straightened and crowned,) and have him do the "all-on-four" denture. The sales pitch was good. In reality, the denture was not designed to work with my bite and sits too far forward on my jawbone, causing me to have to slide my jaw back to make the teeth fit, which is causing me to have TMJ pain. The surgery went great for both my wisdom teeth to be extracted, but the billing process IS a continuing NIGHTMARE. It has been since June of 2015 and they still have not yet provided my insurance the pre-treatment radiographs, post-treatment radiographs, copy of the clinical notes including the specific symptoms, and a copy of the operative report!!
